The TracRac T3 is a remarkably rugged and versatile workstation, with all the functionality required by the professional contractor. The T3 has been redesigned from the ground up, with a focus on increased cutting capacity. The result is a 9.5 ft cutting capacity to the stop. The system comes with a cam lock saw mount which fits all miter and chop saws, two extension arms, two cam action work supports, one rotary stop, one extension stop and a wheel kit. While the wheels make it portable, its 4 1/2 ft retractable length allows it to fit easily in a pick up bed. The T3's rugged aluminum construction supports 20 feet of material and has a capacity of 500 lbs. It is engineered to deliver!

I have an older Hitachi Chop sw and the unit worked perfectly. The only issue was I required an additional bolt for a 4 hole anchoring which was required on the unit, unlike the customary 3 hole anchoring, to which they furnish the hardware. Hopefully they start including this mounting bolt in future kits. Other than that I am very pleased.

This thing is heavy duty. Don't plan on manhandling this stand with a heavy saw attached such as a Bosch 10" compound slider. That's why the wheels are so important but there's a catch. The wheels are small and narrowly spaced. They roll fine over fairly rough ground but if you hit a hole an inch or two deep the narrow wheel spacing can and will cause the whole thing to flip. In the legs-closed rolling mode it's top heavy and if you get that momentum going it's hard to stop it from turning over especially since you have no handle to give you any control or leverage! I can't believe the manufacturers have not provided a handle for this stand. The holes are already there at both ends to attach a simple handle that would make it so much easier to maneuver. I will be devising my own soon. Aonther idea I have been toying with is putting larger, wider spaced wheels on it. I think there is enough room and it would only require a slightly longer axle. That would help stability a great deal while rolling the stand. The rest of the stand works very well, and as I said, is heavy duty. Make sure the cam locks holding the saw are tightened securely or the saw can slide down the channel when you are rolling it. I agree that the assembly is rather fussy and time consuming and could have been made easier. The instructions are poor but what do you expect from China? Go on line and download the manual from TracRac. Once this thing is set up and in use it is an excellent stand and a beast.

Under a 12" DeWalt, the spread of the saw supports is about 23", too wide to use the stretcher between the supports. This is a heavy saw and the third support piece would have been nice. Very steady, well made.
I had a 3-Star Rating initially, but that was only due to the delay in shipping (from a 1/15/07 order date to the delivery date of 4/30/07. I'd give it a 4-Star rating now that it's here and assembled.
