I found this to be the best leveler for ladders out on the market. It is effortless in operation - self-adjusting and adjustment locks with applied weight. Locking mechanism is positive and does not rely on friction.
One caveat - It does require strict adherence to installation instructions for assured safety.
I also bought swivel feet from the factory for use on softer ground. These can be pivoted to a position that digs into firm soil.
The only reason I give it 4 stars is it's cost. My ladder cost not much more than that of this added leveler. It does add a lot to the ladder's usability.
