We built a 20 x 20 x 6" frame and filled it with sand. We put a tarp over the sand and set up the pool. The pool is level and most excellent. We also run the pump for 6 hrs a day. 3 hrs in the morning, 3 hrs in the evening. For the money this pool is wonderful. Cheaper than taking the kids to the public pool. Less hassle and safer. We love it!

I bought this in 2001! My 2 year old swims well thanks to this pool. I am actually able to set it up by myself. I am looking to get the 18 foot pool this year! I have no complaints but flat ground is needed or the walls become weak, and if leaned on the water pours out like a waterfall! (I learned the hard way!)
Best luck with this pool!

We bought this pool summer of 2001. It was great, no problems at all. My two older children learned how to swim in it. This pool has held up pretty well with my four kids plus neighborhood children. The next summer we ended up buying a new pump. But still in over all great shape. One thing to be careful is to never let your children hang on the sides of the pool or a HUGE waterfall will occur and the only way to stop the waterfall is to pick up the side...but by that time half of your water is GONE!

Set up was kind of easy. You do need a perfectly level ground which is next to impossible to get especially in VT. We bought this pool in the summer of 2001. Everyone enjoyed, my family of 5 and the neighborhood children. We anxiously set the pool up this year and we have had nothing but problems. The water is leaking out and we can not find any holes, must be in the seams somewhere. Filled the pool twice and have not been able to swim in it this year. It is as if you need a new liner and cement it into the seams. So now we feel like we wasted money and time, especially this year. My family is very disappointed this year!

We love our pool. To help you, 1) Be sure the ground is level. We were a few inches higher on one side so we rented a sod cutter from a local rental place ([price]) - removing the sod from the high side did the trick. 2) Get the wrinkles out of the liner when just 1-2" of water is in the bottom, otherwise the water is too heavy to lift and you can't pull the wrinkles out. 3) Run the filter more than the recommended 3 hours/day. We run it about 8 hrs/day, more in really hot weather. 4) This is an above-ground pool and needs to be cared for as such. Chorine, Ph balance, etc. must be maintained. It only takes 10-15 minutes a day. Consult a good local pool store for advise on cemicals and treatment. It's not perfect, we have a few small wrinkles and the bottom is a bit bumpy, and don't let the kids lean on the sides or there will be a massive waterfall. But the whole family has had hours and hours of fun and the kids swimming has improved greatly! We have considered it well worth the money.
